Important information
To begin the claim process, you must have the following documents and information readily available.

If you need assistance to file a new claim, please call us at (787) 641-7171 (24 hours, 7 days a week) or send the information by fax at (787) 792-4788.

Requirements:
Driver's license number
Licensed vehicle involved in the accident
Policy number
Police report number
General information of the accident (date, location and a brief description of the accident)
 Complete and sign Informe Amistoso
Steps to submit your Claim - Auto
Before making a claim you must have: Police report and vehicle registration
After you login to your “My Universal” account
Identify the policy under which you wish to submit a claim.
Complete the required information and submit.
In no later than 5 minutes, an email will be sent to you with the assigned claim number. Please verify your Spam or Junk mail folder if you do not receive it in your main Inbox in less than 5 minutes.
Before completing the claim process, and in compliance with the requirements under Law 18 of 2004, Article 27.320, you must thoroughly complete and sign the “Friendly Warning”.
Conveniently for our clients and insureds, a damages estimate is not necessary. Our staff will provide a free estimate and will offer the option of using one of the shops in our Repair Shop Network available throughout the island:

Login to your “My Universal” account
Identify the policy under which you wish to submit a claim.
Complete the required information and submit.
 In no later than 5 minutes, an email will be sent to you with the assigned claim number. Please verify your Spam or Junk mail folder if you do not receive it in your main Inbox in less than 5 minutes.
As required by the Insurance Commissioner of Puerto Rico, you must thoroughly complete the “Notice of Loss” before finishing the claim process.
